Whilst development is continuing at pace on our responsive update to the Compare WordPress theme we are simultaneously working on improvements to the Compare Plus plugin. Whilst doing so we have come across a quirk in the way the Amazon Product Advertising API sometimes returns prices.
It seems that the manufacturers of the products have a deal with Amazon, if Amazon can sell the product for less than a price set by the manufacturer then Amazon are not allowed to return this price in their API for our users to put it on their site. Instead of sending the price Amazon send back the words Too Low To Display. We have implemented a quirkaround into Compare Plus so that if this string is sent back in the price field the user is trying to use Compare Plus will add in the list price instead (Quirkaround Definition: a work around to accommodate a quirk in something you cannot change).
